Hastings law firm files wrongful death case stemming from Astroworld music festival
HOUSTON, November 9, 2021 / PRNewswire / – Texas Lawyers Steve hastings and Henri blackmon from the Hastings law firm filed a complaint against the rapper on Monday Travis Scott, Cactus Jack Records, Scoremore and the alleged operators of NRG Park in connection with the tragedies at the Astroworld music festival which left eight dead and many others seriously injured. The case is filed on behalf of Maria pena in Harris County, Texas. As a result of the Friday night event, she lost her 23-year-old son, Rudy Pena.
The lawsuit alleges that at the start of the event, spectators walked through the perimeter barriers into the hall and that later crowds rushed to the stage as Travis Scott carried out. The allegations further indicate that overcrowding left participants breathless and some passed out. Despite the unfolding of these events and as emergency vehicles attempted to reach those in distress, the spectacle continued.
The lawsuit claims that there are many issues that constitute negligence and gross negligence on the part of the defendants and asks for more than $ 1,000,000.00 in damages.
