Peabody Students Honored at Assumption, Dean, Emerson, SNHU, UNH

PEABODY, MA — These Peabody students were among those who recently earned academic or athletic honors at colleges and universities across the country.

Janine Goggin, a major in biology/psychology, has been named a Presidential Scholar for the fall 2021 semester at Clarkson University.

Presidential Scholars must achieve a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.80 and complete at least 14 credit hours.

Christopher Aylward The Dean’s List honors Vermont Tech’s Associate of Applied Science in Diesel Power Technology program. To qualify for this academic honor, students must be enrolled in at least 12 or more credit hours and achieve a GPA of 3.5 or higher for the semester.

Courtney A. Kline of Peabody was named to the University of Scranton’s Dean’s List for the fall 2021 semester. The Dean’s List recognizes students for academic excellence. A student must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or better with a minimum number of credit hours during the semester to be on the Dean’s List. The list includes students from the Jesuit University College of Arts and Sciences, Kania School of Management and Panuska College of Professional Studies.

Kline is a junior criminal justice student in the university’s College of Arts and Sciences.

Jenna Durkin was named to the Dean’s List at St. Lawrence University for achieving academic excellence in the Fall 2021 semester.

Durkin is a member of the Class of 2025. Durkin attended Bishop Fenwick High School.

Paul Ruotolo earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from the University of Maryland Global Campus. More than 8,000 students from all 50 states, four U.S. territories, and 26 countries earned UMGC degrees globally in fall 2021.

Lea Bettencourt, Joshua Cerretani, Bailey Peicot, Chiara Salzillo and Rocco Schirripa earned a spot on the Dean’s List for the Fall 2021 semester. These students have demonstrated a serious commitment to their studies at Dean College.

The following students are among those named to Emerson College’s Dean’s List for the fall 2021 semester. The requirement to make the Dean’s List is a 3.7 or higher grade point average for that semester.

Caroline Elliott, Commercial Creative Enterprises, Class of 2022.

Olivier Garvey, Media Arts Production, Class of 2025.

Aaron Homem, Media Studies, Class of 2023.

Isabelle Zermann was named to the University of Alabama slate of presidents for the fall 2021 semester.

André Vo was named to the Fall 2021 Dean’s List at Roger Williams University, Bristol, RI Full-time students who complete 12 or more credits per semester and achieve a cumulative grade point average of 3.4 or higher are placed on the dean’s list this semester.

Lasell University students shared original research and projects and engaged in core competencies identified by the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) at the annual Career Readiness Symposium.

Brad Parson represented Lasell’s student-run radio station, WLAS, which broadcasts on 102.9 FM and streams on iHeart Radio. The project integrated the NACE competencies of professionalism, leadership, equity and inclusion, career and self-development. Parsons is the WLAS engineer.

Meaghan Csongor shared a presentation about their experience as a member of DECA, a professional organization that aims to prepare students in the fields of fashion and business to be experienced, professionally responsible and community-oriented leaders. The presentation incorporated the NACE competencies of professionalism, leadership, career and self-development. Csongor is the vice president of fundraising and events for the DECA chapter of Lasell.

Brianna Ricker presented a senior graphic design portfolio. The presentation incorporated the NACE competencies of professionalism, career and self-development. Ricker also presented original clay figure sculptures as part of a class exhibit “This is Me: Self Reflections in Clay.”

Pat Carbon shared fall semester work on behalf of the 1851 Chronicle, Lasell’s student newspaper. The presentation integrated the NACE competencies of professionalism, leadership, career and self-development.

Nico Manganiello shared fall semester work on behalf of the 1851 Chronicle, Lasell’s student newspaper. The presentation integrated the NACE competencies of professionalism, leadership, career and self-development.

Jaqueline Cordeiro featured the latest edition of Polished, Lasell’s student fashion magazine. The presentation integrated the NACE competencies of professionalism, leadership, equity and inclusion, career and self-development. Cordeiro is one of the magazine’s media directors.

Luiz Silva, Ryan Mangino, Joshu DiNapoli, Sherly Bourdeau, Colleen Moran and Amanda Dubois have been named to the Dean’s List of Southern New Hampshire.

Christine Deschenes and Andrew Fisher graduated from the University of New Hampshire in December 2021.

Nearly 1,000 students have been named to Coastal Carolina University’s President’s List for the fall 2021 semester, including Mikaila Buckley, a major in psychology.

Jacob Casallas was named to Elmira College’s Dean’s List for the Fall 2021 term. Full-time undergraduate students enrolled in at least 12 calculable credit hours and achieving a CGPA of 3.6 or higher are placed on the college dean’s list.
